Puyehue Volcano

On June 4th, 2011 the Puyehue-Cordón Caulle Volcanic Complex in Chile erupted, spewing millions of cubic meters of ash and rock across northern Patagonia.  I had worked in that region just six months prior to the eruption so I decided to revisit a family I had met on my first trip and see what the volcano meant for their lives in the rural steppe.
